At our clinic, our priority is simple: help you feel better as efficiently and effectively as possible. Every patient responds differently, so the number of treatments you’ll need depends on how long the condition has been present, your overall health, and how your body responds to acupuncture.
If your condition is recent—anything from a few days to a few weeks—your body often responds quickly. Many patients notice improvement after the first session, though sometimes it takes a day or two for the full effect to settle in.
For most acute issues, 1–4 treatments are usually enough to create meaningful relief. If there is little or no change after this range, acupuncture may not be the most effective approach for that specific condition.
For conditions that have been present for two months or longer, we typically begin with a series of 4 treatments to evaluate your response.
If progress is steady, an additional 4–6 sessions may be recommended to continue building momentum.
Once symptoms stabilize, many patients transition into a maintenance plan, with visits every 2–4 weeks to support long‑term stability and prevent flare‑ups.
Corrective Phase – Focused on reducing symptoms, restoring balance, and addressing the underlying pattern.
Maintenance Phase – Periodic follow‑up treatments to keep the condition controlled and support long‑term wellness.
Frequency matters, especially in the beginning:
Acute conditions: 2–3 visits during the first week can create a stronger, faster response.
Chronic conditions: Starting with 2 visits per week for a couple of weeks helps treatments build on each other and speeds up progress.
Weekly visits: Many patients come once per week due to schedule or budget, and still make excellent progress.
During the maintenance phase, treatments are often spaced once per month for several months, depending on your goals and how your body holds results.
